WPA is organizing this congress with the host member society, the Association of specialists working in the field of mental health and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Mental Health, and the Kazakh National Medical University. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan also supports the Congress.

The congress theme and the topics of the plenary sessions (followed by symposia) will include:

• Innovations in the development of services to people with mental illness;
• Comorbidity of mental and physical disorders;
• Modern technology in the service of psychiatry;
• Rehabilitation and recovery after mental illness.
